monink: The monink newsletter was generated by Monnett Inc. in the early 1980's and mailed to subscribers. This informative newsletter was edited by Betty Monnett and contained lots of information from Monnett Experimental Aircraft Corp., mail from the community, news on progress of new aircraft, modification information ... . In general, the newsletter was produced on an every-other-month schedule.
The INAV (INovative AViation) purchased Monnett Experimental Aviation in late July 1985. The newsletters were still produced on the same schedule and edited by Betty Monnett. The last issue I have is Jan-Feb 1986.
HAPI TIMES: Hapi Engines purchased Monnett's interests and produced a few newsletters quarterly (I only have two issues and a letter) All were undated although the donor of the letter included has a hand-written date of "March or April 1988".
NORTHEAST MONERAI BUILDERS AND PILOTS
Northeast Monerai Builders and Pilots was created and mailed by Jim McCulloch starting in September 1982 and continuing until his death in July 1987. Issues #31, was produced by Bob Burchard and John Watkins mainly to announce McCulloch's accident and death. Issue #31a (A second issue #31) is a four page obituary and informational newsletter, the last of the series, August 1987.
NEW MONERAI NEWSLETTER
The New Monerai Newsletter took over and was published by Dan Lange. It looks like I am missing some issues, between the above #31 and my first is #37, issued quarterly, they continue until
issue #45 plus an un-numbered (Jul '93).
Altogether, there are 66 newsletters plus a couple of explanitory letters. The total size is almost exactly 200 Mbytes, a lot of reading and a lot of good information. If you own or are considering buying a Monerai - these newsletters are a wealth of information.
As I noted in the "Notes" file in the root directory of the CD, many thanks to Stu Ostrander for donating his extensive collection of the newsletters and other Monerai documentation so I could scan them into these files.
